Best time to visit Halong

Though Halong Bay can be visited throughout the year, it is better to plan your trip, especially for cruise carefully, keeping the weather conditions in mind. . Bad weather affects the visibility and can even spoil your trip. The best time to visit Halong Bay is from March to June. However, in the low tourist season, which goes from June to September, you can get some good deals. Another busy tourist time is from October to November as most of the time it stays sunny.

Visit Dau Go Cave, which is also known as 'Grotto of the wooden stakes'. Also see the Thien Cung Cave, also called ‘Grotto of the heavenly palace', discovered in 1998 and famous for its stalagmites and stalactites.

You will also see Ban Sen, a thickly forested, vacant island; Cat Ba, the largest island out the 367 islands of Vietnam, at the southeastern edge of Halong Bay; Ba langur, the national park and the islands of Quan Lạn, Van Don, Dau Be, Dau Go, Bo Hon and more.
